Udyam Registration – Empowering MSMEs in India
Udyam Registration is an official initiative by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, designed to formally recognize micro, small, and medium enterprises. This simplified online registration process replaces the previous Udyog Aadhaar system and allows businesses to obtain a unique Udyam Registration Number (URN) along with an e-certificate (Udyam Registration Certificate).

Who Can Register Under Udyam?
As per the new MSME classification, businesses are categorized as:
- Micro Enterprise – Investment up to ₹2.5 crore & turnover up to ₹10 crore.
- Small Enterprise – Investment up to ₹25 crore & turnover up to ₹100 crore.
- Medium Enterprise – Investment up to ₹125 crore & turnover up to ₹500 crore.
